I'm Ayomide Daniel, a data analyst in Lagos, Nigeria. I clean, analyse and visualise business data with SQL, Power BI, Excel and Python — so owners stop guessing and start deciding on evidence. I work with SMEs across Africa and globally.

I'm a Computer Science undergraduate at Babcock University (First Class track, Class of 2028) who fell in love with the moment a spreadsheet turns into an answer. I completed a full data analytics internship at DecodeLabs covering data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, SQL and Power BI — and I now apply that stack to real business problems.
My analytics journey accelerated at ALX Africa, where I completed the Professional Development course, the Data Analytics course and the Python Programming course — building a strong foundation in data cleaning, analysis, visualisation and the workplace skills I now apply to every client project.
My focus is Nigerian and African SMEs: retail shops, service businesses, fintechs and growing teams whose records live in messy Excel files, POS exports and WhatsApp chats. I turn that chaos into dashboards, reports and tracking systems that answer the questions owners actually ask — which customers make me money, where is my cash going, what's selling, and who went cold?
I also write about it. I publish daily data insights for SME owners on LinkedIn — practical breakdowns of segmentation, cash-flow timing, CRM discipline and dashboard design, drawn from real African business contexts like Paystack, SMEDAN, Moniepoint and BudPay conversations. My content has reached founders, product managers and hiring managers across Lagos, Nairobi, Accra and London.
What makes me different: I don't just build dashboards — I fix the process first. I speak business before I speak SQL. And I document everything so your team can maintain what I build long after I leave.
Not enterprise fluff. Practical analytics deliverables that fit how small businesses actually operate — and pay for themselves in better decisions. I work with teams in Lagos, across Nigeria, and remotely with global clients.
Your records are a mess across Excel, POS exports and notebooks? I make them one reliable source of truth.
Power BI and Excel dashboards your team reads at a glance — no tour guide required.
Stop averaging away your best customers. Segment, then decide.
Automating a broken process just makes it fail faster. I fix the process first — then automate it.

Every project below links to a live GitHub repository with code, dashboards, and documentation. From e-commerce analytics to social-impact data — I clean it, analyse it, and make it decision-ready.
Built an interactive end-to-end e-commerce sales dashboard tracking revenue, profit margins, customer segmentation, and product performance. Enabled stakeholders to drill down by region, time period, and category.
Wrote complex SQL queries to extract, filter, and aggregate e-commerce data. Analysed sales trends, customer behaviour, product affinity, and inventory turnover using JOINs, CTEs, window functions, and subqueries.
Performed comprehensive exploratory data analysis on e-commerce sales data. Uncovered seasonal patterns, customer cohort behaviour, price elasticity, and churn signals using statistical analysis and visualisation.
Built a robust data cleaning pipeline handling missing values, duplicates, outliers, inconsistent formats, and type conversions. Standardised 15,000+ records for reliable downstream analysis and reporting.
Analysed freight and logistics performance metrics including delivery times, cost per shipment, carrier reliability, and route optimisation. Built dashboards tracking KPIs across multiple distribution channels.
Mapped the complete customer journey from awareness to conversion. Identified drop-off points, conversion rates by channel, and bottleneck stages in the sales funnel. Provided actionable recommendations for CRO.
Comprehensive sales and profit analysis using the Adventure Works dataset. Built multi-page Power BI report analysing revenue by territory, product category, sales rep performance, and profit margins with dynamic filtering.
End-to-end customer trends analysis combining SQL for data extraction, Python for statistical analysis and segmentation, and Power BI for executive dashboards. Tracked purchasing patterns, loyalty scores, and CLV.
Analysed the top UK YouTubers of 2024 using scraped and public data. Examined subscriber growth, engagement rates, estimated earnings, content categories, and platform algorithms to identify success patterns.
Healthcare data analysis project examining patient flow, appointment scheduling efficiency, treatment outcomes, and resource utilisation. Built dashboards for clinic managers to optimise staffing and reduce wait times.
Analysed water access data for the Maji Ndogo region to identify communities lacking clean water. Mapped water source types, contamination levels, queue times, and population coverage to prioritise intervention areas.
Complete data analytics internship covering end-to-end workflows: data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, SQL querying, Power BI dashboarding, and business reporting. Delivered 8+ projects meeting industry standards.

I publish practical data thinking every day on LinkedIn. A few favourites — click any to read the full post. These posts have been shared by founders, product leads, and hiring managers across Lagos, Nairobi, Accra and London.
A ₦5,000 buyer and a ₦95,000 buyer average out to "normal" — and tell you nothing true about either one. Segment before you average. I built an RFM model that split 1,847 customers into 4 groups and found 20% were driving 68% of profit.
60–70% of SME inquiries never get a second message. You don't need more traffic — you need a system that doesn't let a warm lead go quiet. I built an Excel tracker that recovered 64% of dead leads for a Lagos real estate agency.
If your data entry is inconsistent or definitions don't match across teams, automation just gets you the wrong number faster. Fix the process. Then automate it. I cut a client's reporting time from 4.5 hours to 8 minutes — but only after we agreed on what "sales" actually meant.
Usually it's a slower checkout, a weaker follow-up sequence, or stock-outs on your best sellers. Check your funnel before you touch your prices. Data from 3 retail SMEs showed price was the #4 reason for cart abandonment.
If your audience needs a tour guide to read your dashboard, the dashboard failed — not the audience. Design for the person seeing it at a glance. I design all my Power BI reports for 7 AM mobile consumption.
Thousands of entries, zero usable insight. The tool was never the bottleneck — nobody agreed on how to use it. Process first, tool second. I wrote a 2-page SOP that turned a chaotic lead pipeline into a 34% conversion rate.
Whether you need a one-off dashboard, a data clean-up, or a student analyst for your team — the first conversation is free and there's zero obligation. I work with clients in Lagos, across Nigeria, and remotely with global teams.
